Went from Tucson Arizona to Deming New Mexico. Went down past Tombstone but raining and have been number times so did not stop. Drove by Bisbee and stopped at Lavender Pit (former copper mine) that is huge. Took pics. My dad worked for a time when young as part of complex.
Drove on to Douglas Arizona and drove by and took pic of the house my grandparents lived in when I was growing up. Looked around town too. Then on to Deming. Stayed at Grand Motor Inn, a motel out of 60s that is still same but clean and nice. has restaurant and bar and spread out.
