Traveled from Eureka CA to San Francisco. Got room at very reasonable rate at Comfort Inn near airport.
Drove thru more redwoods including down Avenue of the Giants. These redwoods are not coastal type but slightly shorter (still reach to the sky) and larger trunks. They were impressive. The road followed old stagecoach route but now two lane and blacktop. There were some really impressive ones.
Rode a little more on coast and still impressive. Also thru mountains some. California does not put guard rails often. Can be a nasty drop-off just beyond pavement edge and your responsibility.
Rode across Golden Gate Bridge. It has an awesome structure and is real nice. Rode on thru town.
