Drove from Baker City to Portland Oregon. Interesting scenery. I was glad i had taken first exit to Baker City as I would have gotten room on I-84 and never seen the city.
Drive today was thru mountains, plains, deserts and then to the Columbia River gorge. Lots of nice sites. Ate lunch at Shari’s restaurant (my wife's name, confused her when I called from table and asked what she recommended at her place) and food was good. Columbia River gorge is beautiful. Lots of windmills.
Saw a hardwood tree farm, trees raised in rows as the tree farms raise in south Georgia. Had not seen hardwood raised that way.
